ZZ Noodles distinguishes itself in the highly competitive Silicon Valley food scene by focusing on a few key factors that resonate deeply with the local clientele. It is a worthwhile choice for several compelling reasons:
Firstly, the restaurant offers a specialization in essential Korean-Chinese dishes that are difficult to find done well, such as Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle) and Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork). Specific customer recommendations highlight the spicy seafood noodle (#2) and the pan-fried noodles with vegetables & seafood with spicy sauce (#6), noting their significant portion sizes. For those who prefer less heat, the option to request mild spiciness ensures the dishes are enjoyable across different spice tolerances.
Secondly, the value proposition is strong. The combination of generous portion sizes and a mid-range price point within the expensive SF Bay Area makes it an economical choice for a filling meal. While customer experiences can vary, the overall consensus on portion size and the availability of dishes like Tangsuyuk without an unpleasant pork odor are positive indicators of quality and value.
Finally, the convenience factor cannot be overstated. Its location inside the Super Kyo-Po Korean supermarket provides an ideal opportunity for shoppers to grab a quick, satisfying meal. The establishment’s dedication to fast service and its ample accessibility features, including dedicated wheelchair amenities and free parking, ensure a hassle-free experience for a broad customer base. For a quick, casual, and comfort-driven meal in Santa Clara, ZZ Noodles remains a highly practical and popular option for locals.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Ordered Jjamppong and Tangsuyuk. The Tangsuyuk was okay — nothing special, but at least there was no unpleasant pork smell, which is a good sign. The portion was generous. I paid $0.50 for a to-go box and packed the leftovers, and they still tasted okay when I had them at home. The Jjamppong, however, was disappointing. It looked great with plenty of seafood on top, but the taste didn’t live up to its appearance. The broth was bland — like it was missing seasoning or depth. The seafood didn’t seem very fresh, though I’ll give credit for the portion size, which was much better than what you’d get at Bukkyung Banjeom. The noodles felt like pre-packaged ones that didn’t match the dish at all — though maybe that’s expected at this price point in the SF Bay Area. Not sure if I’d return. As others mentioned, it does feel like the owner or chef might have changed.
May 09 · Gatsby LeeZZ Noodles is inside the Super Kyo-Po Korean supermarket. We love to get their #2 (spicy seafood noodle) and #6 (pan-fried noodles with vegetables & seafood with spicy sauce) which has a fairly big portion size. Note that if you cannot stand very spicy food, you might want to request for mild spiciness.
August 29 · Vincent LThe food quality has significantly declined — the Jjajangmyeon, Jjamppong, Tangsuyuk, and Jap-tangbap all tasted completely different from what I remember, and not in a good way. I was genuinely surprised by how much the flavors had changed. On top of that, the staff were quite unfriendly, even when we simply asked for an extra plate. None of us enjoyed our meals, and most of the food was left untouched. Sadly, I won’t be returning.
April 13 · Sunny P.Did not order any noodles, but got Gimbap (김밥) instead. Tasted nice.
November 27 · Global NomadThey have really good jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle). And you can grab Korean ice cream from Kyopo after 😉
