West Coast Bowls Reviews
fish
★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1One of the worst things I have ever eaten in the Bay Area. I ordered a bowl with chicken, being allergic to both fin and shellfish. I FOUND SALMON CHUNKS in a corner of my bowl, like they’d started to make it a salmon bowl, read the order and just picked the fish out. I wound up scooping an entire corner out snd throwing it away.Rice tasted stale and musty, chicken was dry and the veg consisted of two or three small pieces of broccoli. Very small, like what you would put on a toddlers tray if they’re just learning to eat solid food. I requested pumpkin seeds as a topping, and there were literally 15 freaking seeds. Yes, I counted them because I was already so ticked off about the fish, the nasty rice and the hassle of FINDING the place— which is INSIDE of another restaurant 😤🤬 The sauce I ordered on top was not sufficient to either moisten the rice nor the protein. It was largely decorative. It was the only palatable thing in the meal, and I don’t think there was even a tablespoon of it provided. And this is for a massive amount of white rice— it looked like about 2.5 cooked cups of white rice to a single small chicken breast, a couple of nibbles of vegetable, 15 pumpkin seeds, a sneezes worth of green sauce and an errant freaking allergen. Also, the entrance is hella hidden. So many doors, which say “exit.” Finally gave up and pushed through one that was marked as an out door anyway. I imagine the actual restaurant this place is located in must be better, but since it’s a seafood restaurant, I can’t say. This “bowls” place, though, is a hard pass in the future. A burger would have been faster, less stressful, less underwhelming and disappointing and less of an unwanted potential medical surprise.
October 29 · May LainesWhile I like the food (Asian Chimichurri Salad w/Sea Bass being my favorite) the ordering from Doordash or like is not recommended. Possibly this should be an eat in only option if you are considering. All times, but 1, the orders come without the dressing that is listed that is supposed to come with it. The dressing is what adds the finishing touch to this salad. Also, on more than one occasion, a meal from our order is missing. 3x's we have had to send a co-worker to the store to pick up a missing order and/or the dressings that should have come with the items. This last time, we specifically called the restaurant and brought attention to previous things left out and they ensured us they would be included. But...they were no, again! I can't blame this on doordash because they are simply a courier, this is the restaurants fault and they just cannot seem to get it right. As such, sadly, we probably won't order from them anymore because this is a repeated occurrence which continues to happen even after contacting the store. Our office order is typically about $200 each time (after tip). You would think that they would appreciate these types of orders during these times, but seems they just don't care.
June 30 · K CullopIf you order online through door dash it's called west coast bowls but it's actually pacific catch - kinda confusing. Our food was ok. It wasn't bad at all but not great either. Definitely had higher expectations and felt pretty disappointed.
May 20 · Nicole SpoljarThe food wasn't great. In fact, The chicken Katsu was fatty, tough and greasy. I also did not enjoy the taste of the chicken. The Ahi was better but not great either. I would not recommend the Big Kahuna plate.Other food items on the menu might be better however, but I am unsure whether to try them.
March 31 · Shane BenneeFood was great! My order was 100% correct except for the special request of the utensils. It was very convenient while I was staying at a hotel.
