When exploring the menu at Delhiwala Chaat, patrons are advised to dive into the vibrant world of Chaat. While the entire menu is highly-rated, there are particular dishes that exemplify the restaurant’s commitment to authentic, flavorful vegetarian cuisine.
The experience of sharing multiple chaat dishes is undoubtedly the best way to enjoy the vast spectrum of flavors and textures. For a first-time visitor, mixing a rich, hearty main like the $19.99 Chole Bhature with Paneer stuffing with a lighter, more refreshing chaat is highly recommended. For instance, pairing the spiced and savory Aloo Tikki Chaat (with Chole) for $10.99 with the cool and crunchy Dahi Papdi Chaat or Dahi Batata Sev Puri (both $10.99) creates a perfectly balanced meal. The Aloo Tikki, prepared in the traditional "Delhi Style," offers an authentic taste of North Indian street food culture.
Don't overlook the fresh Parathas, particularly the Paneer Paratha for $12.99, or the extensive Pakora list, which includes options like the Paneer Pakora and the Vada Pav. Conclude your meal with one of their thick, creamy lassis or a warm cup of Masala Chai, providing a comforting and authentic conclusion to your culinary journey through the streets of Delhi, right here in Sunnyvale, CA.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1They serve traditional vegetarian ‘Indian Fast-food’, aka Chaat. Lots of dishes to explore with flavors, textures that will blissfully explode in your mouth. A great place to visit with friends and family, order multiple dishes and share (experience will be like Spanish Tapas or Chinese Dim Sum).
June 15 · Ganesh BChole Bature, Mango Lassi and Dahi Papdi Chaat.Chole Bature was extremely oily (this was expected). The chickpeas were cooked to perfection. Dahi Papdi Chaat got little bit too much yogurt. Mango Lassi was creamy and thick.
August 24 · Pradip AksharI tried chole bature. Honestly the bature was just too oily. I understand what I ordered but you can't serve me bature when touched just feels messy and dropping oil. The papdi chat on the other hand was reasonably decent.Ambience is average.
May 01 · Kumar VaibhavAbsolutely disgusting experience at Delhi Wala Chat. I found a hair in my food and when I showed it to the staff, they didn’t even bother to say sorry. No apology. No explanation. Just a cold and careless “ok” like it was no big deal.On top of that, they charge prices that are almost at par with proper dine-in restaurants, yet serve everything in cheap disposable plates and expect customers to self-serve. No basic hygiene. No basic courtesy. No service. It’s shocking how a place can be this careless about both food safety and customer experience.Avoid this place at all costs. Eating here felt like a mistake from the moment I walked in.
June 29 · kritika kaushikLooking forward to trying more items. My mom is hard to please and she complimented the food.Dahi sev puri- 5/5 right balance of sweet and savory. Not too spicy 🌶️, but enough heat to complement the flavors and textures. The chutneys were flavorful which is important as it’s an integral to the dish.Chili/paneer pakora- 5/5couldn’t decide on one luckily they have half of each offering yay. Fried to golden perfection. It’s simple dish and if texture is off it ruins the experience. Have been disappointed by pakora at so many restaurants because it’s over cooked, under cooked or just straight out bland. This had the flavor and textures, ajwain in chili pakora is lovely. The chutney just adds an extra flavor boost. The ratio of batter is just right too. Another pet peeve is when restaurants mess up ratio of filling to batter. I have literally had over fried outside and raw chili pakora at other places.Mooli paratha- 3/5 this is a flat bread stuffed with daikon/radish. Overall good but stuffing was tad stringy and dry. I know radish can let off a lot of moisture so maybe they precooked it before stuffing it into dough.Gulab jamun to top off the meal. Excellent too. We didn’t finish the pakora and paratha so we had room for a sweet treat and chai.$50 well spent for satisfying food. We have some left overs to enjoy as well I felt the portion was generous but we don’t have ravenous appetite.
